Yes, family members are covered with the normal cover.
How Much Does The Insurance Policy Cost?
The cost of the policy depends upon the level of cover, in general:
- Simple covers up to £250 and costs £3.99 per month
- Standard covers up to £1,000 and costs £5.88 per month
- Executive covers up to £1,000 and costs £7.99 per month
- Premiere covers up to £1,500 and costs £9.99 per month
- Platinum covers up to £2,500 and costs £14.99 per month
When Am I Covered?
This depends on the type of cover you buy, with the Instant Cover, you are protected as soon as the online payment transaction for the first 3 months premium goes through.
With the Delayed Cover, you are protected once the first Direct Debit payment for the first 3 months premium is paid.
Is There An Excess On My Insurance Policy?
There is an excess on your insurance policy this depends on the type of claim and can be seen below.
- Theft Claim You Pay The First £25
- Accidental Damage Claim You Pay The First £25
- Loss Claim You Pay The First £50
- International Claim You Pay The First £75
When will I receive the paperwork through the post?
You will receive your policy details along with your Direct Debit confirmation paperwork. This could take three to four weeks because the banks take some time to set up and confirm your Direct Debit.
You will receive email confirmation for your policy order instantly assuming that you have entered the correct email address.
Am I insured in a commercial vehicle?
No, this is because commercial vehicles (for example builders vans) often contain a many items with a potential to be stolen, therefore we cannot insure the item in any commercial vehicle. The term 'Commercial vehicle' means a work vehicle.
Where can I live?
Our insurance covers only electronic items bought and used in the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Cover is extended to include use of the electronic item anywhere in the world up to a maximum of 60 days in total, in any single 12 month period, subject to any repairs being carried out in the UK by repairers approved by us.
How do I get my replacement?
We will replace with a like for like product. If the same model is unavailable by the time of your claim we will replace it with one as near as possible to you model.
What do I need as proof of purchase?
You will need to have a receipt or invoice showing the purchase. If you received the phone as part of a mobile contract your documentation should show this.
Is Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) Included?
Yes, IPT is included in the premium quoted.
